Dream/ Vision Board

This is my dream/ vision board. I started off drawing a picture of myself, well just a corner. Then I took some magazine cut outs and glued them on based on my goals. Afterwards, I wrote down some of my 2017 goals in different colors. My goal with this project was to fill the whole page and to make it as colorful as possible. I am very proud of this project.

Chance Drawing

This is my drawing of Chance the Rapper. I chose Chance because I am a huge fan of him and his music. It was pretty easy drawing from the grid, but shading was a bit difficult of me. I wasn't able to finish the picture though. I am missing his facial hair, but other than that I am proud of the outcome.

Scratchboard: Seasons of the year...

This is my scratch board project. This project was really fun for me and I am really proud of the outcome. I started off with cardboard, then I took four different colors, along with different shades of those colors, and drew four triangles each filled with a color and a mixture of it's shades. When I finished coloring, I painted four or five coats of black paint, and when it dried I started scratching out a tree with an exacto knife. In the blue section I scratched snowflakes and tiny dots representing winter, in the orange and red section I scratched in little leaves representing the fall, in the green section I scratched in green leaves representing summertime, and for the blue and green section I scratched little flowers representing spring time.

Color Wheel: Melting Crayons

This is my color wheel project. Making this was very stressful for me. I wanted it to look like melting crayons, so I drew the crayons and also had to label them by the colors of the color wheel IN ORDER. Making the colors was fun but I always ended up starting a new color at the end of class, so when we came back next class I would have to remake the color which would tick me off a bit. Aside all of the stress of the drawing and color mixing, I did enjoy working on this project.

Color Schemes: Eyes

This is my color scheme project. In the process of making this, I drew eyes and and painted them based on color schemes like Warm colors, Cool colors, Complementary colors, Split complementary, Triad, Analogous, and Monochromatic. I chose eyes because I felt it would be easier because I am used to drawing anime styled eyes. My favorite scheme was the monochromatic.

Tempera Batik: Autumn Window

This is my tempera batik. I started off just drawing boxes and thought of filling the shapes with warm colors, but I thought it should've had more to it. So I drew a big leaf in the center and drew a few more, making it look like the were flying by a window. That's when I thought of the title "Autumn Window". I liked the picture a lot more before putting on and washing off the ink but it isn't that bad.

One Point Perspective: Future Living room

This is my one point perspective drawing of a living room. I was mostly inspired by my grandmother's living room in her old house back in New York but it isn't exactly the same. I added the flags because in my house we have the Dominican and Puerto rican flags up in our living room.
